Center Point Legion Recognized for Membership Excellence and Plans for Community Revitalization

At our monthly meeting last night, the Center Point Legion was recognized for our membership. The Ralph A. McGinnis award is presented to the Post in Iowa located in cities between 2,000-3,000 in population that attain the highest percentage of annual membership for the 4 preceding years. This is the 3rd time Dye-Benion Post 297 here in Center Point has received this award. Thank you to all our members for this excellent achievement.

On that note, the Center Point Legion has major plans for renovation and expansion. The sky is the limit here, and we intend to be the tip of the sword as well in our community revitalization. A Legion is only as strong as the community around it. Thank you to all. If you're a veteran, regardless if you're in the area or not, reach out to us and become a member of our growing family.

If you have a relative by blood, marriage, or adoption and would like to join our growing Auxiliary, please reach out to us. If you're a male and have a relative that served by blood, marriage, or adoption, we are about to launch our Sons of the Legion chapter. We do so much for the community, our veterans, our elderly, and kids. We would enjoy having more members in all 3 clubs. We have fun in the community putting on different events, have a lot more planned out, and could always use new members with new ideas.

As stated, we are growing numerically, we are expanding and renovating physically. Come be a part of a Veteran-based community organization that wants the best for the area and to bring the sense of "community" back to the town.
