Avenue of Flags Fundraiser

For $50 per year, the Center Point American Legion members will place a 3’ X 5’ American Flag in the front yard of your home or business on the following holidays:

Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.

Volunteers will deliver and place a flag in your yard before the holiday and pick it up after. The Center Point Legion Post will be responsible for any repairs or replacement if it were to become soiled, damaged, or stolen. Anyone in the Center Point, IA area may sign up for this program at any time and the cost will be pro-rated by $10 per holiday. Your donations will help provide support to Veterans, the community, and several American Legion youth programs such as FFA, Flag Essay Contest, Archery, Boys State, and Girls State. We also provide flags at the Cemetery, Fire Station, Main St, and Franklin.

Center Point Archery Club, Advance reading program for CPU middle school, Center Point baseball, Center Point youth programs, Retrieving Freedom, Freedom Foundation, Veteran services, military rights, breakfasts and dinners throughout the year, Center Point food pantry donations, Boys State, Girls State, FFA, Veteran of the Month, Honor Flight.

These are just a few of the many things that we help support in our local area. We are always expanding our support for different organizations that help veterans and our community.
