Robert Hepker

September 2024

Please congratulate Mr. Robert Hepker!! Bob is pretty much a native to the Center Point area, with his family moving here in the early 1950’s. He graduated from Center Point High School in 1967 and went off to college for teaching degree. In 1971 he was drafted into the Army and attended basic training at Ft Leonard Wood in Missouri. From there he went to Ft Gordon Georgia for Advanced Infantry Training where he learned how to be a Military Police Correctional Officer. After AIT he was stationed at the military prison in Ft Leavenworth Kansas. After a couple years there here enrolled in a program through the Army that sent him back to college at East Tennessee State. There he received another degree, this one in Environmental Health. He went back to the regular Army for 4 more years before transferring to the Army Reserves in Wisconsin. After several more years in the Army Reserves he applied for a position in the Wisconsin Air National guard in Milwaukee. That’s where he stayed until he retired 1997. He worked in the civilian sector in the Occupational Safety field and moved home to Center Point in 2007 and fully retired in 2017. Now he likes to “hobby” farm caring for his 3 cows and a dozen goats plus finds time to play a lot of golf! Bob has a son and a daughter that live out of state but still finds time to spend with his four grandchildren. Please help me congratulate Bob and thank him for his years of service to this great nation!!!
